Nancy Starrels and The Aesthetic Drama in Ethics
Nancy Starrels, poet, photographer, educator, was one of the earliest students of Aesthetic Realism with its founder Eli Siegel. In the 1970s she became a consultant on the faculty of the Aesthetic Realism Foundation in New York City. One can see something of the richness and depth of this education, and the scope of Ms. Starrels' knowledge, in an announcement of a talk she gave in 1956 at the Terrain Gallery in New York City, "The Aesthetic Drama in Ethics." The announcement states that she will "dramatically and richly discuss" a work by Eli Siegel: "The Aesthetic Method in Self-Conflict."
